Just interviewed the master navigator behind the three-year odyssey of Hokulea, the Polynesian voyaging canoe that just completed its journey circumnavigating the globe—a total of 42,000 miles of untamed sea. Using the ancient art of ocean wayfinding, this sage captain and his crew charted much of their course by the stars with minimal use of modern sailing equipment through sometimes treacherous waters. His mission? To promote ocean awareness, human-marine connection, education, and long-term sustainability. I'll name this inspiring eco-hero soon!
