I spoke with expert and author John Chirban about the long-term fallout in children of divorce. Turns out very few us manage to "consciously uncouple" while putting the kids' needs first (or, sometimes, tending to their needs at all). Here is my story for WebMD. On digital link, go to pg. 25.
I'm pleased to announce a special screening of singer-songwriter Jack Johnson's film "The Smog of the Sea," which documents his shared expedition into the waters between Bermuda and the Bahamas with a team of scientists and fellow ocean conservations to measure plastic waste levels in our oceans. The crew's findings are sobering, eye-opening, and alarming. The screening takes place October 12 at 7:30 p.m. at The Pelham Picture House in Pelham, NY, and is sponsored by Coastal Living magazine. My 8-page feature in the magazine, "Ocean Heroes," which includes my interview with Jack as well as the inspiring words, works, and missions of a dozen legendary ocean activists, will be given out at the screening; our heroes will also be named, and we hope some will be in the audience. Hope to see you there!
